can girls code? you bet!

this photo reminds me of when i was studying computer science, and the girls in the class (all 4 of us) formed a little study group.  we dubbed ourselves the “javagrrls”.  i owe a lot to that social network that helped keep me encouraged and motivated through a demanding program.  no professional setting since has replicated that environment where i could sit around a table with other gals coding.  this photo is making me completely nostalgic for the old days.
